For what is an incredible price, the accommodation is of a high standard, don't be fooled by the exterior (which looks like a row of whitewashed terraced houses), the interior is warmly decorated, clean and the staff were very friendly and intrusive.
Tooting Bec is a 25 minute tube ride to the centre of London, we found it best to purchase Oyster Cards, and three days travel into and around London, cost us £20 (and we used a lot of tubes) + £5 for the card itself.
The room itself was adequately furnished, the bed was extra comfy, and tea and coffee making facilities were plentiful. The added bonus with this aparthotel is the shared kitchen. There was ample food, bacon, sausages, eggs, cheese, ham, bread, fruit, cereals, milk, tea and coffee that you are welcome to use throughout the day, and it is regularly replenished.
There is also access to a washer and dryer in the kitchen (also free to use) and an iron/hairdryer and TV in the room.
